Losing my mind, but that's ok

Today after I picked Allie up from speech as we were walking to the car Abby lost her shoe. I just picked her and the shoe up and off to the car we went. I sat her in her car seat, put her shoe back on, shut the door and walked around to buckle in Allie. While buckling Allie in, I looked over and said, "Abby, I forgot to buckle you in. I must be losing my mind." Abby's response, "That's OK momma."

Raymond's Certificate of Merit

This past Friday was Raymond's last day of Radiation Therapy. We were so very blessed and thankful that he did not have any side effects with the radiation except a slight stomach ache the first few days. Thank you for all the prayers during this uncertain time in our lives. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful group of friends and family praying for us.
This is the certificate of merit he was given on Friday.

Baby Gifts

I had 2 baby showers to go on Saturday for 2 dear friends. First was Laurel's Baby Boy shower. Here is the blanket I made for baby Peyton. I hope he has many hours of fun playing on it with his big sister, Mackenzie.

The second shower was for my friend Amy and her Baby Girl. I made baby girl a bow board and a Christmas dress. I can not believe I forgot to take a picture of the bow board. But it was really cute.

I am looking forward to meeting both of these precious babies in March.

Silly Allie

Allie did not want to eat the other night instead she wanted to watch Dora. We turned off the TV and told her no more TV. She runs over to the chair, sits in the center of it and says "I don't like dinner. I only like Dora." over and over. She did eventually stop crying and eat a few bites.

Today while playing Allie looked at Abby and said, "You're not mommy, your Abby." I am not sure what brought this statement on.

My parents where here this week and Allie heard me called my dad, "dad". She looked at me and said "that's not dad that's pap paw. Daddy's at work." I tried to explain to her that her pap paw was my dad. She did not quite understand that.

On the way home from a birthday party Saturday evening I was listening to the Tigers game. Raymond was Tvio'ing it at home and would not be listening to it in his car. (I just had to know what kind of mood he would be in after he watched the game.) The Tigers won and I told the girls do not tell daddy the Tigers won. He wants to watch the game on Tvio. I told them 3 times "do not tell daddy the Tigers won." As soon as we got out of the car, what does Allie do? She walks over to Raymond and says, "Daddy, the Tigers win. The Tigers win, Daddy." The look I got....

Tonight at dinner we went to Stevi B's (we are so happy they are back open!) and Allie are 6 slices of Pizza. When her plate was full of the crust she does not eat, she brought them over to Raymond. I asked her if Raymond could have her ice cream, she handed more pizza crust. Abby ate 5 slices of pizza, her ice cream, her sister's ice cream and 4 cherry tomatoes! Where do they put it?!?!?

Valentine's Day

Friday night Raymond came home with monkey balloons for the girls for Valentines Day. Abby wanted a balloon so bad. Every Valentine's day Raymond will bring them balloons. I thought the monkey balloons fit the girls just right. They were nice enough to "share" them with us this morning before church, Abby wrapped the string around our closet door knobs.

Raymond brought me chocolate covered strawberries, my favorite! I would rather have chocolate covered strawberries than flowers.
Saturday the girls and I made Raymond chocolate cupcakes in ice cream cones.
Batter in the cones before they went into the oven.
Right out of the oven.

Iced and ready to eat.
I only made 12 because I don't know how to store them. The rest was made into regular cupcakes.
Abby watching Raymond vacuuming out the car. The pants she has on I made last year for the girls. I guess they were really big on them last year as the pants fit Abby perfect this year :)

For Valentine's day night Dennis & Leslie watched the girls while Raymond and I went out on a date. We went to look for a new phone for me, which turned out to be a waste of time. (Lesson learned: If you can get it online, buy it online, it will save you at least 30 minutes) We then went to dinner at Qdoba Mexican Grill and then to see He Just Not That Into You. Thank you Dennis and Leslie for keeping the girls and the Malco gift card! We love you.

More Bakerella Desserts

I found these as well on the Bakerella blog. Scroll down in the post a little ways to see the Oreo Cakester's dessert. White and Chocolate Creme center Cakesters and small cookie cutter make a great valentines dessert.

Snow Princess Dress-Up

The girls have wanted Snow Princesses outfits since they saw Dora Saves the Snow Princess back in November. So I found this fabric that I had bought about a year and half ago and made these dresses for them. I made the silver capes for their 3rd birthday but they have not played with it so it was put up for a while. While making one of the dresses I tried to sew my finger to the dress. There is no picture of my finger although to look at it now you would never know a sewing needle went through it.

My Snow Princesses - the sash, crown and wand were clearance finds at Target (they had 2 of them!!), and I made a crystal necklace (you can see it real well in Allie's pic below) out of left over ribbon and a large clear tear-drop shape bead we found at Hobby Lobby.

Valentine's Day Party

The girls needed boxes to collect their valentines for their MDO Valentine's party. I bought the felt purses at Hobby Lobby and added their names and the felt die cut heart.
